The Functional Macromolecular Laboratory at the University of Maryland, College Park, performs research on functional polymers for a variety of technological fields ranging from medicine and pharmaceutics to energy storage and microelectronics. We work in the synthesis and structure-properties characterization of complex polymer architectures, focusing on the determination of their structure function and properties. Present problems of interest include: polymer electrolytes for lithium ion batteries and translational sprayable polymers for medical applications.
One of our undergraduate students, Lily Granzow, was recently featured in an Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program (EIP) student profile on the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech) website. We're proud of Lily's hard work!
