The Functional Macromolecular Laboratory at the University of Maryland, College Park, performs research on functional polymers for a variety of technological fields ranging from medicine and pharmaceutics to energy storage and microelectronics. We work in the synthesis and structure-properties characterization of complex polymer architectures, focusing on the determination of their structure function and properties. Present problems of interest include: polymer electrolytes for lithium ion batteries and translational sprayable polymers for medical applications.
Becca's work on permalloy nanoparticles for use in syringe printable inductors was recently accepted here in the Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials. Congrats, Becca!
